Desiree’ Belnavis was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, and is pursuing studies at Lancaster Bible College. Desiree’ has been acting, dancing, and modeling since the age of 2 in various aspects and events. Though she is talented in many areas, she believes that she was born to dance. Desiree’ attended University Park Creative Arts Elementary and Northwest School of the Arts in middle school.
While attending these schools, she had the opportunity to perform in drama and musical theatre. Desiree’ has also performed with Charlotte Ballet; including Jean Pierre’s “The Nutcracker,” at the Belk Theater. She is thankful to her Church (Calvary Christian Church), which allows her to participate in various holiday plays & musicals. When off stage, she loves to run track, read, and you guessed it - Dance.
Today, Desiree Teaches classes throughout the Charlotte area. Her nonprofit, MPACT CDC is up and running to inspire youth as herself. She teaches free of charge and puts on productions with their talents. She is also not limiting the students to just dance but have partnered with others to offer piano, voice, drum and theater as a beginning to offer even more. She partners with schools to help with children who lack clothing and food to help in those areas as well. She is working with the children at White Water Elementary School to add a unity dance piece to their Black History Program. She is so thankful for the opportunity to inspire. If you want to dance, see Dezi, she would love to teach you!
She also choreographs, teaches Hip Hop & Modern classes with a Kingdom mindset. She is now her church’s dance director and thrives off of her trust in God, the support and prayers of her Mom, Dad, big Sister, church family at Calvary Christian Church, her Pastor, Kameron & First Lady Jordan Adams. To God be the Glory!
