About Us

MPACT is a non-Profit Organization that was established in June of 2023 in the State of North Carolina by Executive Director, Desiree’ Belnavis.  The MPACT Program also known as Mainstage Performing Arts Campus and Training Community Development Corporation is dedicated to fostering the holistic development of youth by utilizing the transformative power of Dance, Creative Arts, Character Development, Values Clarification, Academic Success, Mentorship, and Community Outreach.

We have goals to develop the potential of every young individual by nurturing their growth, both personally and artistically through high-quality dance and creative arts education as we provide opportunities for self-expression, self-confidence, teamwork, and personal achievement.

To create a platform that positively influences the lives of the participant and cultivates responsible and compassionate individual.

To incorporate core values that embrace character development discipline, respect, perseverance, commitment, and integrity in our participants.  To promote diversity and inclusion by providing outreach and training for underserved and marginalized communities. To ensure that at-risk-youth are afforded the opportunity to actively engage in creative arts and education, regardless of their background.

We recognize the importance of positive role models and supportive communities in the development of youth. Therefore, we will allow participants access to experienced mentors, who guide both their artistic and personal growth. To foster a sense of belonging and encourage the creation of meaningful connections with peers, mentors, and the community at large.

To accomplish this and more, we recognize the importance of partnering with Community Leaders, Educators, Clergy, Government and other Community-Based Organizations to offer a wide range of workshops and educational programs that go beyond dance and creative arts.  To implement character development values clarification, leadership trainings, and career guidance that equip our youth, and better each at-risk-youth with applicable life skills for the various aspects of life.

This will create an inclusive and nurturing environment as we endeavor to cultivate the next generation of leaders, who endeavor to thrive in their pursuits and impact their communities as they become productive citizens
